Church Funding & Scholarship Request Protocols
The process for accessing funds for evangelism/outreach ministry projects for congregations in good standing with the association will be as follows:
- Completes and sends in the Annual Church Profile.
- Contributes regularly to the ongoing ministry of the association, based on the budget voted on by the church.
The basic criteria needed for processing your request:
- A completed Blue Water Association Church Funding Request form.
- An itemized budget for the project, starting with the amount your church has budgeted.
- A brief statement of the need for the project and how it will help you achieve the vision of your church.
The association will seek to provide resources that will assist you in doing those things that you feel God would have you do, even if there was no support from other sources. With that in mind, the following guidelines will be used in responding to each request:
- The association will seek to partner with each church according to their strategy as funds are available. The funds for these projects come from the generous giving of our churches. We will determine how the stewardship of our churches is going, and make the funding determination for each request up to $500.00. Your requests must be made before the date of the project – not after the fact.

The association will not fund more than what the church is willing to contribute to the project.

The association assumes that church resources are utilized first, and other resources are there to come alongside and complete the process.

A follow-up form is sent with each check for funding. No other projects will be considered for funding until the follow-up information on the current project has been completed and sent in.

Funding is not available earlier than 60 days prior to the project, except in special cases where a contract or booking must be secured.
- Scholarships requests can only be granted up to $50.00 per person.
Guidelines for Scholarships:
1.) Must be for Spiritual Retreat or Ministry Training Events.
2.) Blue Water will fund 1/3, Church should fund 1/3 & Individual should fund 1/3 of the total cost.
